De first LP ‘Slagerij Van Kampen’ is a live registration of an acoustic concert. The album is an instant success.

The success in the alternative club circuit brings Slagerij Van Kampen into contact with the A&R manager of a small obscure indie-label who is interested in the record of the group. It becomes a low-budget recording of a live concert, on which the young nerves make the skins vibrate even more. However, more records than expected were sold. The discography of Van Kampen was born and would grow on steadily. The album was only released on vinyl and is not available anymore.
