Opening Amsterdam Arena

Slagerij Van Kampen plays at the final official act at ‘De Meer’ in  August, the former AJAX-stadium. Again, a few days later, Van Kampen is present when the new stadium, the ‘Amsterdam Arena’ is opened with a big show.

Bevrijdingsconcert Amsterdam

Van Kampen plays together with the Metropole orchestra and accompanies Liesbeth List with the track ‘Vrijheid’ on a pontoon on the Amstel in Amsterdam. The annual 5 May concert is attended by Queen Beatrix and Prime Minister Wim Kok.

The album ‘LIVE!’ appears in January. With more than 50,000 CDs sold, the first album for Slagerij Van Kampen that goes gold. A big success.
